About Us

Mitra: Our Name Is Our Promise

Mitra means “friend” or “companion” in Sanskrit. That is the role we choose in your wellness journey. We are not here to replace your doctor, therapist, or existing routines. We are here to walk alongside you—translating Ayurvedic wisdom and modern research into calm, usable guidance.

Our mission is simple: earn your trust by putting quality, clarity, and honesty above everything else, always choosing quality over quantity.

Our Foundational Philosophy

The wellness world is crowded with quick fixes and vague claims. Mitra was created to be the opposite: a steady, transparent presence you can return to again and again.

We start with what classical Ayurvedic texts have observed for thousands of years—patterns in digestion, sleep, energy, and stress. Then, wherever possible, we look at how similar patterns are being explored in contemporary research on the nervous system, circadian rhythms, and the microbiome. Ayurveda offers the language; modern science helps us understand possible mechanisms.

We focus on:

  • Quality over quantity – a small number of carefully developed offerings instead of
    endless products.
  • Support, not replacement – Ayurveda and modern science as companions to
    professional medical care, never substitutes.
  • Education first – helping you understand your own patterns so you can make more
    informed choices for yourself.

The Pillars of Trust

Recognizing the need for grounded, time‐tested wisdom, we turned to Ayurveda as our primary framework. Everything we share rests on three non‐negotiable pillars.

1. Authenticity

Our formulations are developed with direct reference to classical Ayurvedic texts (the Samhitas) to stay aligned with the original principles. We adapt them thoughtfully for modern life while respecting the source and clearly presenting Ayurveda as a traditional wellness system, not a medical treatment.

2. Verification

Our educational content and product concepts are reviewed by a Certified Ayurvedic
Practitioner (BAMS) from India to ensure they reflect traditional understanding in a responsible way. This keeps our work rooted in real training, not trends or guesswork.

3. Transparency

We commit to rigorous third‐party laboratory testing for heavy metals and key contaminants on every ingredient we use. As products launch, we will share testing information and clear explanations, so you can see exactly what you are choosing to put into your body.

Our Goal

Mitra’s goal is to be a bridge:

  • Between ancient Ayurvedic wisdom and modern physiology
  • Between complex science and everyday language
  • Between where you are now and a calmer, more resourced version of you

We exist to be the friend who tells you the whole story, respects your intelligence, and always reminds you: this is supportive wellness information, not medical advice—and your own healthcare providers are essential partners in any health decision.

Meet the Founder – Dhruv Patel

Dhruv Patel grew up in India, where Ayurveda is part of everyday life—passed down in kitchens and conversations long before it showed up on wellness shelves. Later, he stepped into another world entirely: microscopes, lab reports, and biomedical science. Mitra Wellness lives where those two worlds meet.

Dhruv completed a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology with a minor in Botany at Sardar Patel University, graduating with the highest distinction. He is now pursuing Biomedical Sciences in Jacksonville, Florida, while working in a pharmacy and a volunteer clinic. Watching patients move through these systems—often stressed, exhausted, and still told “everything looks fine” —taught him something important:

People don’t just need more information.
They need someone they can trust to help them understand their own body, gently and clearly.

That is why Mitra exists.

  • From the labs and clinics, Dhruv saw how stress, sleep, digestion, and mood are deeply connected, even when test results are “normal.”
  • From Ayurveda, he learned to read those same experiences as patterns—Vata, Pitta,
Kapha—shaped by daily rhythm, food, seasons, and nervous‐system load.
  • His promise with Mitra is deeply personal, honest care—not one‐size‐fits‐all advice and not fear‐based marketing. Every quiz, email, and future consultation is designed around one simple question:

“What does your body need, today, in this season of your life?”

Dhruv’s work brings together:

  • Respect for classical Ayurvedic wisdom
  • Training in microbiology, botany, and biomedical sciences
  • A commitment to slow, steady, transparent wellness that treats you like a person, not a protocol

At its heart, Mitra is Dhruv’s way of offering what he wished more people had in their health journey: a brand and a human they can finally exhale with—grounded in both tradition and science, here to support ultimate self‐care one small, personalized step at a time.
